About OdorExpert
OdorExpert was founded by restaurant development and operations professionals.
After thirty years of managing, building and maintaining hundreds of restaurants we realized that no matter how sanitary or well maintained, almost all restaurants had a certain "rotten egg" smell from time to time.
One day while preparing to open a brand new restaurant one of the strongest odors we had ever detected was experienced. After checking for leaks in the plumbing vent system we tried the common remedy of extending the roof vent stacks. This made the situation better, but did not eliminate the odors completely.
With an opening approaching and terrible odor problems still occurring we began to investigate the cause of this common odor.
Our research led us to the technology used to control odor in the waste water treatment industry. A certain product looked promising. We reasoned that if it worked on a sewage treatment plant, it could work on a restaurant building. We were right! And after solving the odor problems on our own restaurants we decided to form OdorExpert to eliminate odor in the entire restaurant industry.
Founders
Randy DeWitt
Mr. DeWitt is the CEO and Founder of Rockfish Seafood Grill, a $35 million regional seafood chain. He is also Founder and Managing Partner of Twin Peaks, a mountain themed sports bar with two locations. In the twelve years Randy has been in the restaurant business he has developed 32 restaurants. Prior to entering this field Randy was involved in shopping center development for ten years.
Tim G. Fox
Tim Fox has twenty years of experience in the real estate, development and construction industry, primarily in the upscale casual dining sector. He has directed the pre-development, pricing, entitlement/development, construction management, and facilities maintenance on more than $350 million dollars in commercial real estate and upscale casual dining facilities, including coast-to-coast rollouts for national clients. Mr. Fox has worked with numerous national clients in the restaurant industry.
Marc Flood
Mr. Flood has 17 years experience in various capacities with high-tech startup companies including sales, marketing, and operations in industries such as software, decision support tools, and web deployed solutions. Currently Mr. Flood is a partner with Maggies Brand stores and has taken several stores from concept to successful operations. He is a graduate of Texas A&M's Mays School of Business with a a bachelor's degree in business administration. He later received a MBA from the University of St. Thomas.
